AHOY! A Nautical-themed Baby Shower
Today's adorable Nautical-themed Baby Shower comes to us from Lynlee's Petite Cakes. Inspired by the blue and yellow Mod Nautical Anchor collection by the WH Hostess, Lynlee styled a bright and cheery waterfront luncheon to honor mommy-to-be. The dessert table was full of sweets centered around the nautical theme and coordinating colors - including lemon and fruit treats, lifesaver donuts and Oreo-dipped cookie pops decorated to resemble portholes {SO creative!} Lynlee also dipped marshmallows in chocolate and added fondant strips and numbers to make buoys. The luncheon table was set with a burlap covering, striped blue runner and a lantern centerpiece. Each setting consisted of blue fish plates paired with small plates as well as small vases with floral decor enhanced with natural string and cupcake toppers. Water bottle labels were used to decorate simple glasses filled with cool and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Pay close attention to those darling coral-like decorations that were made from chicken wire and coffee filters...GENIUS!
Lemon cupcakes were embellished with fondant sailor onesies, bibs and baby bottles, nestled in sugar sand with chocolate sea shells in a nautical steering wheel serving tray.
Layered jello lighthouse push pops were made in containers from Cupkate's Event Design, as well as mini fruit tarts to complete the table.
Guests were prompted to leave a "Message in a Baby Bottle" for the parents-to-be on a framed notecard from the collection. Lifesaver candies packaged in cello bags with toppers and wrapped with string made GREAT favors!
