A Stunning Maternity Session | Jillian Kirby Photography

We are so honored to end the week with this simply STUNNING Maternity Session submitted by Jillian Kirby Photography. Jillian has been photographing children and families for over six years and is now Nationally Accredited in Child and Infant photography, as well as Maternity photography, by the PPOC. She has also been awarded with the honor of having her newborn work accepted into the National Salon. Most recently, Jillian became one of the first photographers in Canada to be Nationally Accredited in Newborn Photography and works out of her beautiful natural light studio in Langley, BC. The Maternity Wrap used for this session was made by Hayley of Just Hatched Designs.

Happy Monday and thanks for joining us! Today we have a lovely St. Louis Maternity Session to share with you thanks to Emily Lucarz Photography. This beautiful mom to be is awaiting a baby girl any day now that will surely be just as gorgeous as her mama. Emily used her Dream in Color and Dream in BW Action sets  for this entire shoot and shares some lighting tips with anyone that might be interested in learning more:

"This shoot was based around using creative light.  We placed her in front of directional light, side lighting, full large windows and minimal lighting. The key to getting the look you want in a photo like this is to spot meter off of what part of your photo you want exposed correctly. Backlighting is beautiful to expose baby bumps. Using flattering angles is also huge with pregnant mamas (not that she needed it). But always remember to shoot down on your subject, do not shoot up.  Think outside the box with your lighting, you dont need a lot of it to create beautiful images, just enough to illuminate your subject!  This shoot was edited entirely with the dream actions set sold {here}.  Stay tuned for a follow up feature of this beautiful mom to be's new baby girl!"

A Chicago Maternity Session | Maggie Russo Photography

Today we are delighted to bring you this fun and fabulous Maternity Session thanks to Chicago-based photographer Maggie Russo. Maggie had the pleasure of capturing this couple's wedding day a few years ago and was asked to join them again to document their newest journey - parenthood. I love these first few images that capture mom and dad in Carson's nursery, awaiting his arrival. The sweetness continues as the session moves outdoors and the couple is joined by their other {four-legged} family members. Maggie did an amazing job of capturing this special time with a gorgeous couple and I am excited to see {and share} the newborn session of Baby Carson in the near future...
