A Dual Gender Baby Shower

Today I have a really unique and fun Dual Gender Baby Shower to share with you thanks to Events by Shelbi Rene. Shelbi created this event for her cousin Chandra {principle designer for The Three Co.- an invitation and paper product company she owns with her sister and mom}. Since the parents-to-be decided to keep the gender of their first baby a surprise, they thought it would be fun to have a dual gender theme rather than a gender neutral one. Shelbi set up a table that was all things boy {Drake} and another that was all things girl {Layla}. Everything came together so well and I truly love this idea as an alternative to the traditional gender neutral approach. Invitations were designed by Chandra's sister Aubrey.

Upon arrival, guests were encouraged to select a pin to determine which they thought the baby would be - snails for boy or flowers for girl...what a cute idea!

For dessert, the Drake table featured "dirt cups" while the Layla table had decorated cake balls.

There was an area set up where guest could decorate neutral onesies for the baby-to-be, complete with scraps of fabric and iron-on designs - what a great activity to get your guests involved.

This birdcage was used to display the cards and gift cards that guests brought.
