A Sweet Backyard First Birthday

Today's sweet backyard First Birthday Party was submitted by our friends over at EAE Personalized Creations. Ella's special celebration planning had begun and mom Kami asked the team at EAE to create an invitation using the soft vintage color palette of pinks, greens and yellows. Once the invite was established all of the other party details fell nicely into place, creating an {adorable} backyard event that everyone was sure to enjoy!

Precious photos of Ella were used to add a special touch to the tablescapes.

One of the crowd favorites were the mason jars were filled with homemade lemonade - the kids absolutely loved using the straws with quirky sayings.

Diving right into her gorgeous birthday cake, Ella sat in the same highchair that her mom used as a child, a truly keepsake moment...

A photo collage is a great way to display your little one's growth over the past year and an outdoor photo booth area, complete with props, gives your guests a fun activity to try during the party!

I LOVE this display of Ella's milestones - such a great way to share her first year of development!

Favors included wrapped playdoh with personalized labels as well as bags of sugar cookie mix - YUM!

A Summer Picnic First Birthday Party

Happy First Day of Summer! We couldn't think of a better way to kick off the summer season than to share this AMAZING Picnic First Birthday with you thanks to our friends at Little Miss Party. The first thing that guests saw as they walked into the room was this GORGEOUS sunflower number one {I absolutely LOVE this!}. The food table was decorated to represent a sunny picnic at the park, complete with grass, a sun made from yellow balloons and a tasty picnic spread from Cobblestone Catering. There was even a Radio Flyer wagon filled with Pigs in a Blanket for the kiddos to enjoy! We invite you to scroll down as we share more of the images and details from this lovely event...

Creativity strikes with this watermelon vase filled with gorgeous white lisianthus. I also LOVE the yellow billy balls in the vintage coke bottle and the red pail filled with sunflowers!

There was an area set up inside for the kiddos featuring Leela's Lemonade and the balcony area featured a beverage station for the adults that was decorated to fit the picnic theme.

For an added touch, pictures of the birthday girl's First Year were hung above the dessert table. Sweet treats included fresh fruit, a vanilla cake with sunflower design by Sugar Sweet Sunshine, incredible  "corn-on-the-cob"cupcakes from Kreated by K {inspired by Martha Stewart} and mini oreo + strawberry cheesecakes from Eileen’s.

A Sunshine-themed First Birthday

Today Sunshine-themed First Birthday comes to us from Jenny of Vello Vintage Family in honor of her daughter Penelope's special day. The main inspiration behind the theme for this event was Penelope's favorite song - "You Are My Sunshine". Using a color palette of aqua, yellow + grey, Jenny and her husband Blake used many household items that they already had on hand to create the decorations for this party - they even designed and created the gorgeous sunshine pinata using cardboard and crocheted yarn! The centerpieces featured pinwheels placed in mason jars full of sand and the banner garland was made from paint chip samples cut into triangles strung with crocheted chain. The simple, resourceful approach that was used to create this lovely, yet inexpensive event is so inspiring. Photography by Green Iris Studios.
